Amber; Does More than Make Dinosaurs

You might remember the scene from Jurassic Park when the owner of the park explains how a mosquito trapped in some sap millions of years ago led to him recreating dinosaurs...

This jewelry is much easier to work into your wardrobe than
 making a dinosaur come back to life.

Well, thanks to designers, amber isn't just for making dinosaurs anymore.  My mom went on a recent trip to Europe and brought back some of my new favorite pieces of jewelry for the summer... and they are all amber!

Amber is an amazing stone.  While it looks like it might be keyed into autumn, I really like the sunny stone for summer.  I find the bright tones play really well with a lot of summer staples and it looks great with a tan.

This chambre shirt (left) is great on it's own, but using am amber necklace and and both the blue and the amber colors are brought to life.

I love a white dress (right) in the summer, who doesn't?  Pairing this simple white halter with an amber brooch brings out the
detail in the stone, while adding interest to the dress.
Stacking this yellow amber necklaces makes more of a statement without being too overpowering to the yellow frock.
Most stones have lots of different tones so you can get away with wearing almost any color.  I like to wear brighter colors which can be found in the rock, it amplifies the color without being a distraction.
